
Global Schools Challenge 2024-25
Organized by Department of Education, Govt. of Queensland, Australia
Education Queensland International (EQI) is the international arm of the
Department of Education in the Queensland Government, Australia.
On behalf of the Department, we would like to invite your school
students to participate in Global Schools Challenge 2024.
The EQI Global Schools Challenge focuses on developing
globally minded students through active engagement with global issues.
Students will explore their skills to communicate, investigate, collaborate
and recognize complex differences between cultures and adapt respectfully
to engage internationally. The GSC provides students with opportunities
to develop their cultural awareness, global leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
The overseas school will be able to select one category of the challenge they wish to compete in. The categories available include:
• Throwaway Society
• Robots in the workplace
• War on food waste
At the end of this program, students will have developed the following skills:
• Global leadership – personal commitment and perseverance
• Problem solving – engagement with issues of global significance
• Critical thinking – understanding of ethical choices and actions
• Cross-cultural integration – to work collaboratively internationally
• Global awareness – engagement with issues of global significance
• Responsible Global Citizen – to work cross culturally

As part of the ongoing program support, EQI will release an teacher toolkit once a group has booked their program.
